Donald Michael Ivy, age 53, passed away tragically Friday, April 21st, 2017 at his home in Ramona, California. Don was born on September 5, 1963 in Glendale, California to parents John Clois Ivy Jr. of Texas & Jaqueline (Bugos) Ivy of California. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Quenna Lee Ivy of Kearny Mesa, California and his son Daniel Riley Ivy. He is also survived by his siblings John Curtis and Patricia Ann. He was proud to be a twenty year veteran of the United States Navy and retired as a Petty Officer First Class. Don will always be remembered as a man who would go out of his way to help others and often dropped whatever he was doing to rush to assist a friend, neighbor, family member or even complete strangers. Having grown up in the Sacramento area in the 70’s, Don was also a die hard fan of the Oakland Raiders.
Those wishing to pay their respects are invited to attend the Funeral Service to be held on Tuesday, May 2nd at 11:00am at Calvary Chapel Ramona. Following the service Don will be laid to rest with full military honors at Miramar National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
