Betty Jane Ward

Betty Ward, 66, long time resident of Ramona passed away surrounded by her family on January 5th in San Diego.  She was born in Sylacauga, Alabama. 

Betty married Robert Ward in 1972 and they moved to Ramona in 1976 where they raised their four children.  For 32 years, Betty delivered newspapers early in the morning,7 days a week, while raising her four children.  In later years, Betty was devoted to her grandchildren.  She loved to cook and family was her first priority.

She is survived by her beloved husband Robert and their four children.  Jason (Melissa) Ward of Ramona, David Coakley of Menifee, Melissa Ward of Buckeye AZ and Alicia Coakley of Phoenix AZ.  She also leaves behind her brother Harvey (Rhonda) Hatcher of Neo DaSha, KS, sisters Lois (Donald) Riley of Jamul and Jeannie Whitcomb of Fredonia, KS.

Services will be held for Betty on Tuesday, January 12th at Bonham Bros & Stewart Mortuary Chapel.  There will be a viewing beginning and 11am and the funeral service will begin at 1pm with burial immediately following at Nuevo Memory Gardens, in Ramona.
