Edward (Ed) Keyser passed away in his home in Ramona, CA on December 22, 2017 at the age of 72, after a long battle with Parkinson's. Ed was born on July 14, 1945 in San Diego, CA and lived his entire life in Ramona. He was the son of George and Lena Keyser. He graduated from Ramona High School with the class of 1964.
Ed married the love of his life, Sharon Clauser on October 26th 1973. He and Sharon have six children, 21 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild that he loved dearly. Ed started his appliance repair business “Ed’s Valley Service” in 1975. He serviced and repaired appliances throughout the North County for many years and made many friends. After retirement, he became an accomplished artist, painting, carving and creating custom deer horn knives. Ed will be remembered for his love of family, big heart and kindness to everyone he met. Ed loved to hunt in our local mountains as well as Utah with his friends and family. Ed was very proud of his Native American Heritage as reflected in his art.
Ed was preceded in death by his mother Lena Keyser. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sharon Keyser; sons Chuck Keyser, Bill Keyser (Robin), Greg Keyser (Jessica), daughters Jill Dillon (Mark), Kerri Brown (Marshall), Jennifer Brannon (David) and daughter in law Holly Bisbikis. He is survived by his father George Keyser; brother Barry Keyser (Margaret), sisters Dorothy Cotton, Debbie Anderson, Sandra Jambor and Pat McCans. Grandchildren Jacob, Carly, Hayden, Gavin, Aubree, Colin, Allie, Jonathon, Matthew, Luke, Mary, Alexis, Lena, David, Brayden, Ryan, Addison, Cara, Carter, Logan, Sabrina; and Great-granddaughter Blakely. Brother's in law Bill, Don and Richard Clauser, Joe Thompson and Ben Smetak, sister in laws Carol Hill, Betty Thompson, Kathy Tanguay, Diana Clauser , Beverly Clauser and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Ramona on Monday, Jan 8th at 10am. The rosary will be recited before Mass and a reception will follow in the church hall.
