Lois Marie Boerman, known as Wicki to her family and friends, passed away on September 30, 2018 in Golden Valley, AZ.  She was born in Chicago, IL on February 25, 1924 and graduated from Manley High School in 1942.  She is a member of the Messiah Baptist Church.
As a child she loved to spend her summers in Trenton, IL with Aunts and Uncles on her mother’s side of family.  Wicki graduated from the Deforest School of Electronics where she studied Radio, and went on to serve as Radio Control Operator for WMBI at Moody Bible Institute during WWII and after.  She put Billy Graham and George Beverly Shea on live radio in the 1940’s.   She deeply loved her time at WMBI.  She married Herman Boerman on Dec. 27, 1946 whom she had known from childhood.  Having attended the same church and graduated from grade and High School in the same class.  Wicki and Herm became a part of Village Missions Ministry in 1954 where she served beside her husband teaching bible to children, teens through college age and ladies bible studies in addition to raising 5 children.  Their dedication was to the rural country churches of America.  She had 7 children, 2 of which were stillborn twin girls named Faith and Hope.  Wicki greatly loved her family.  She is survived by her husband Herman, daughter Cheryl “Dee” Valenzuela, sons Timothy, Kenneth, Philip “Flip”, Stephen and many grandchildren, great-grand children and one great-great grandchild.  She would love to greet you one day in Heaven through your faith in Jesus Christ her Lord.
Her funeral service will beheld at 2pm on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Berean Baptist Church at 511 D St., Ramona, CA 92065.  She will be laid to rest at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego on Tuesday, October 16 at 11am.
