Michael Richard Peterson

Michael Richard Peterson, 61, of Ramona, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, January 28,
2024. Michael was born on December 14, 1962, in Ventura, CA. He is survived by his life partner, Mary
Maw, daughter Mikki Hudson, sister Michele Keys (Randy), nieces Kelly Dekany (Rider) and Brianne Keys,
and his four beloved dogs, Tractor, Diesel, Dixie, and Kona. Professionally, Michael loved working in the
construction safety business. He also had a passion for food and barbeque, which drove him to start his
own barbeque catering business, which was recently featured in the Ramona Sentinel. At home, Michael
surrounded himself with horses, goats, and chickens, and maintained a flourishing vegetable garden
with his dogs by his side. He loved traveling with Mary to Jackson Hole, WY, New Orleans, and the
Kentucky Derby. Michael was an overachiever in everything he did, and he was fiercely loyal to those he
loved. Michael is preceded in death by his parents Julie and Terry Peterson and his beloved dogs Trouble
and Rowdy.

A private service will be held grave side at a later date. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
