Dan Evans of Ramona passed away peacefully at home on June 6th, 2017.  He was reunited in death with his beloved wife Christine, who passed in 2012. 

Dan grew up in Lakewood, California with his parents Giles & Colleen Evans and younger sister Trenda. As a child, he played baseball and later on while in high school his love of cars was kindled. At the age of 19, Dan was drafted into the Vietnam War where he served honorably. Upon returning home to Lakewood, Dan met Christine and the two were married in 1970. In 1979.  Dan & Christine moved the family to Ramona, the little town they fell in love with and wanted to raise their family in. Dan enjoyed the close proximity to the desert and many years were spent off roading with his family. Dan was a truck driver by trade, following in his father's footsteps. He worked as an owner/operator as well as driving for companies over the years. He continued his truck driving career until he was forced into early retirement in 1998 due to an accident. Dan's love of the road maintained through his passion for classic cars and the family's home was filled with the sounds of NASCAR on Sundays. 
Dan is preceded in death by his wife Christine Evans. He is survived by daughters Angela Gunnett, Summer Evans and granddaughter, Madison Gunnett.

Dan will be laid to rest next to Christine on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 11am, at Nuevo Memory Gardens in Ramona.
