George McGregor, better known to his friends and family as "Joe" passed away on June 15 after a long illness. Joe was a 30 year Navy man and attained the rank of STGC - Senior Chief Sonar Man. He loved the Navy and was stationed on several ships and short duty stations. On a trip to visit a friend in Indiana, he met and married his future wife, Pam, and together they raised their daughters, Julia and Meagan. After retirement from the Navy, the family moved to Ramona in 1987. Joe loved working on his house and land and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather to his grandson Jamey.
He is survived by his family and others who loved him.
