Apolonio Paul Warne Gonzales IV

With heavy hearts we must endure the untimely passing of Apolonio Paul Warne
Gonzales IV, at the young age of 24. Born April 5, 2000, in Bakersfield, CA, to
Apolonio III and Lacey Gonzales, he resided in Ramona, CA for over a decade where
he was a cherished member of our family and community. He was involved in a tragic
motorcycle accident on the afternoon of June 14, 2024, while traveling home from
work. He left us to rejoin our Lord with his father and stepmother Mylene Gonzales by
his side.
Paul graduated from Ramona High School in 2018 and was a student at Palomar
College. He was employed as a Class A hazmat delivery driver and service technician
for Kamps Propane.
Paul was a beacon of joy and a fountain of knowledge. His deep love for learning and
restoration kept him enthralled in auto mechanics, computer electric engineering, and
everything electronics shined bright. Whether he was fixing up cars from the inside
out, building high-speed computer circuits or intricate computer motherboards and
microprocessors; Paul’s enthusiasm for his hobbies and talents never failed to shine
through- reflecting his brilliant mind and meticulous craftsmanship.
However, his technical skills were not his only defining characteristic. Paul had an
adventurous spirit, reveling in the freedom of riding motorcycles with his friends. His
charismatic personality and infectious smile were like rays of sunshine, leaving a
lasting glow upon the lives of everyone he encountered.
Family was at the core of Paul's heart, as he expressed his dreams of spending more
time with his loved ones. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones,
always ready to offer his support and lend a helping hand. His kindness knew no
bounds, and his thoughtful gestures and hugs were a testament to his generous spirit.
Paul’s ability to surround himself with people who loved him unconditionally speaks
volumes about the kind of person he was—compassionate, loyal, and deeply loved in
return.
His presence was a gift, and his legacy is one of warmth, kindness, and unwavering
support. Paul's gentle and thoughtful heart touched everyone who had the privilege of
knowing him, leaving an indelible mark on the world. He will be forever missed, yet his
memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
Paul is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Apolonio P. Gonzales II of
Salinas, CA; maternal grandfather, Robert B. Warne of Bakersfield, CA; and aunt
Audrey Warne of Bakersfield, CA. He is survived by his loving father Apolonio R.
Gonzales III and stepmother Mylene Gonzales of Ramona, CA; loving mother Lacey
Espinoza of Bakersfield, CA; grandmothers Elizabeth R. Gonzales of Tulare, CA and
Shallie Warne of Bakersfield, CA; aunts and uncles: Steve and Julee May of Fresno,
CA; Emilio and Lea Cantu of Bakersfield, CA; Patrick Woodbury and Lyndi Buchanan
of Castro Valley, CA; Monica Gonzales of Salinas, CA; Brian and Yolanda Mattos of
Tulare, CA; and Teresa R. Gonzales of Beverly Hills, CA; half-brothers & sister Noah,

RaeLynn, and Jackson; cousins Cadence, Aeithan, Val, Julian, Anabelle, Jobe,
Jazmine, Nickoli, Gio, Jax, Zachary, Gwyneth, Eli, and Hayden; as well as numerous
other aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and many, many loving friends.
