Obituary

Our beloved mother, Armida Martinez (Piña), passed away on September 01, 2023 at the age of 90 surrounded by her family. She was boring in San Diego, CA and was on of 12 siblings. She was raised in a small house next to Chicano Park in San Diego. When she married Louie they raised their family in National City until 1978. Armida moved to Chula Vista and then Ramona in 2017 with her daughter Lisa's family.

Armida, also known as "Grandma Rooster" loved roosters and collected hundreds throughout her life. She enjoyed gardening, camping, going to the beach, reading, traveling and cooking. She adored Abby, her little dachshund, who was by her side for 14 years. She devoted much of her time and energy to her family. She always provided them with love and support. If there was a family event - she was there. She had a close-knit circle of friends and she will be missed by all.

She is survived by her daughters Esther Hughes (Larry), Elaine Gonzalez, Lisa Pittman (Keith), and son Louie Martinez; Nine Grandchildren, Twelve Great-Grandchildren, and Two Great-Great Grandchildren.
