Arthur W Tobiason Jr.

Arthur W. Tobiason, “Art” , passed away on Monday, September 7th 2020. Art was born on May 27th, 1932, in San Diego, CA, to Sadie and Arthur Tobiason. The Tobiason family moved to Ramona, CA in 1939 and founded their family homestead. Art attended and graduated from Ramona High School in 1951. After graduation he then proudly served in the United Stated Marine Corps, where he defended his country in the Korean War. After serving, Art returned home and founded Tobiason Brothers Excavating, along side his brother Angus Tobiason. In 1953, Art married the love of his life, Sandy Tobiason. They spent 67 years of marriage together.

 Art was a faithful supporter of countless kids involved in the local FFA and 4H groups. He was always one to be unconditionally giving of his time and knowledge to anyone. His legacy lives on in his family, blood and “adopted”. From the life lessons and skills that will forever be remember in mechanics, ranching, heavy equipment operation, hunting, and fishing. Arts greatest joy was his family, the he worked to provide for, to teach, and ultimately showed unconditional love to everyday of his life.

 Art is survived by his wife, Sandy, his four children Toby Tobiason, Vanessa Aspin, Tom Tobiason, and Jamie Tobiason, his eight grandchildren, Travis Aspin, Justin Aspin, Brandy Tobiason, Amber Hardin, Lane Tobiason, Sierra Tobiason, Tanya Tobiason, and Jake Tobiason, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and countless friends. All who knew his love and enthusiasm for living life to the fullest will miss his larger than life personality. His jokes and recognizable laugh will be greatly missed, but nothing more than his unconditional love

 A celebration of life will be held in November. More details to be determined on a later date.
