Betty “Mema” Adams passed away on Mother’s Day. Betty was born in Ontario, California on May 11, 1933. She moved to Ramona in 1989.
To the children that she taught sewing classes to at Montessori Children’s House and Montessori Children’s Elementary School, she was their beloved Mema to each and every one. She was famous for her beautiful hand-sewn quilts, which took many first place ribbons at the Del Mar Fair, and teaching quilting classes to community members.
She is survived by four children, Linda Jordan, Richard Adams, Douglas Adams and Michael Adams; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 2pm, Bonham Bros & Stewart Mortuary Chapel, Ramona, CA.
