Charles “Chuck” Dold

Charles C. "Chuck" Dold was born August 6, 1922 to Viktor B. and Theo N. Dold in Buffalo, NY. He attended Oberlin College and graduated in 1947. During his time at Oberlin, he served for three years in the Army Air Corps stationed in England. A bomber pilot, he was promoted several times in the field, was never shot down, and returned his crew back safely from all missions. After the war, he earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. He married Henrietta Willig on February 29, 1948; she preceded him in passing. He loved to travel, and his wanderlust moved the family across the country and then overseas. He and his wife Henri retired to Ramona, CA in August 1988. He died on December 9, 2011.
He is succeeded by his four children, Chad, Adrienne, Claudia, and Pam, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Ramona on February 29, 2012 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the First Congregational Church of Ramona for the Dold Memorial Rose Garden Fund.
