Dianne Ford Brewer

Dianne Ford Brewer, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 27, 2022 from a fall. She was 86.

Mrs. Brewer was born to William Henry Ford and Eva Martin Ford in 1935 in Joliet, Illinois.  Dianne moved with her family from Davenport Iowa to Alhambra, California when she was 9. She married Harold Brewer on February of 1961, after rekindling their Alhambra High School friendship. Dianne was active in her children’s lives and in the local community, serving as PTA president for Maryland Avenue Elementary, La Mesa Jr. High and Helix High School and as the Mt. Helix Council President. She was a pioneer in women’s fashion, owning one of the first independent maternity store chains in southern California. Upon retirement, she moved to Ramona, where she served as a docent for the Ramona Historical Society and was active at Ramona United Methodist Church. Throughout her life she traveled the world but was always happy to come home to her family, which were the most important thing to her.

She is survived by her husband Harold; son Steven, his wife Audra, and their children Brianna and Shannon; and son Michael and his children Mikayla, Zachary, and Halley and 24 nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Ramona United Methodist Church, with a reception following at Oak Tree Ranch Clubhouse.
