Frank “Frankie” Drake Peterson passed away on October 2nd, 2025. He was a lifelong Ramona resident, having lived his entire life in Ramona California. He was born to Alice and Frank Peterson on June 23rd, 1954. He was the second son and forth child of Alice and Frank. He grew up in Ramona. He was a graduate of Ramona High School class of 72’. He was a mason by trade and did many custom homes throughout the county. He also was a talented sculptor and made stone birdbaths for family. He met and fell in love with Susan Hunter of Ramona in 1982 and they’ve been inseparable since. There was not one without the other. Frankie was an original Ramonian. He loved Ramona and everything about it. Everything from jumping off the rocks at Black Canyon to looking for cool rocks in Pamo.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Frank and Alice Peterson. He is survived by his long time life partner Susan Hunter, daughter’s Rachel Galliher of Redlands, Ca., Sarah Palleson of Ramona. His sister Pam Clark of Lynden, Wa., sister Jennifer Hallmann-Muphy of Ramona, brother Victor Peterson of
Ramona, as well as 6 neices and 5 nephews.
Services for Frankie will be held at First Congregational Church of Ramona, 404 8th St. Ramona, Ca. at 1pm. Saturday, October 25th, 2025.
