Obituary

Joshua Timothy Holeman, “JT”, cherished son of Laurie and Timothy Holeman of Ramona CA, died at his home with his loving family on March 6, 2022.  Joshua attended Ramona schools and graduated from Montecito High School in 2009.  He was employed by D&D Concrete as a concrete finisher until the time of his death.

Joshua didn’t only love paintball, he lived for it.  He was a member of the Booty Shredders Paintball Team and an established member of Velocity Paintball Park.  Joshua and his team were recently endorsed by Wepnz Team Gear and were leaders on the paintball field.  In addition to paintball, Joshua spent his spare time fishing, hiking, dirt bike riding through the deserts of Ocotillo Wells, and doing just about anything outdoors.  He was a true outdoorsman.

Spending time with family and friends brought Josh his greatest joy.  In addition to time with his family, Josh enjoyed his summer visits to Upstate New York and especially loved his time at Grandpa’s River.  These trips were never complete without a visit to hunting camp and family gatherings at Mountain Lake.  He had a heart of gold and was loved by many.

Joshua is survived by his parents, Laurie J. and Timothy C. Holeman.  His grandparents, George and Janice Getman, and Peggy Filipowski.  He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his girlfriend Joy Firchow.  Josh also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Roxy and Bo.

The family will receive friends for viewing at Ramona Lutheran Church, 520 16th Street, Ramona, CA on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 1-3pm, which will be immediately followed by a Christian service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests you donate in Joshua’s name to San Diego Humane Society.
