Loren R. Gates

Loren Ralph Gates, long time resident of Ramona, passed away on February 1, 2023.  He was born in Escondido and grew up in Ramona, graduating from Ramona High School.  After high school he proudly served in the US Army in Viet Nam.

Loren married his high school sweetheart, Candice, and together they made their home in Ramona and raised their two children.  They loved their life in Ramona and Loren had his own grading business.

He is survived by his beloved Candi and their two children, his son Loren (Lisa) and their children Faith and Kale of Colorado, and their daughter, Crista of Ramona.  He is also survived by his sister, Cindi (Ed) of Idaho.  He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Sharon.

Loren loved his family, animals, and the wonderful life they made in Ramona. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Loren was laid to rest at Nuevo Memory Gardens in Ramona.
