Patrick D. Hogan

August 4, 1928 – December 14, 2011

Patrick Dennis Hogan passed away peacefully on December 14th 2011.

During his final hours he was surrounded by family who loved him dearly. He will be missed by so many.

Patrick was preceded in death by his wife Donna and eldest son Dennis James.

Patrick was born in Marion, Iowa and was the youngest son of Patrick and Charlotte Hogan.

Pat was a man of all trades, never spending a day being idle. He worked on the railroad in Iowa for some time and then found that being a milkman and delivering milk to the homes in his town was a great way to meet and greet his friends and neighbors. In 1951 he joined the Army and served in Korea.

Pat and his wife of 52 years, Donna, moved their family to California in 1957.
He worked various jobs in the San Diego area but eventually retired from General Dynamics Convair Division as a supervisor in 1991.

After retirement Pat remained very active. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and served as Worthy Patron for several years with the Order of the Eastern Star in Ramona.
He was a sheriff with the volunteer sheriffs department in Ramona and volunteered many hours at the Ramona Senior Center. He worked for the City of Ramona in the parks and recreations department and also worked for the Ramona Woman's Club.
He enjoyed his family at Mountain View Community Church where he served as greeter and usher.

Patrick is survived by his son Richard and daughter Bonnie Gonzalez, daughter in laws Angie and Kathy Hogan and seven grand children, Nicole, Michael, Deanna, Daniel, Sean, Douglas and Jeremy. God also blessed Patrick with fourteen great grand children.

We will all truly miss this wonderful man who loved people so very much. We find peace in knowing that he is now in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A celebration of Patrick's life will be held at Mountain View Community Church, 1191 Meadowlark Way, Ramona, California on Friday Dec 30th at 2:00 PM

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the "National Kidney Foundation". 1-800-747-5527 kidney.org
