Peggi Rice

August 31, 1932 ~ July 23, 2010 (age 77) 77 Years Old
August 31, 1932 – July 23, 2010

We lost our Mom, Peggi Rice on July 23rd, 2010, she was 77 years old. She went peacefully at home. She was born in August 31, 1932 in St. Louis, MO. She spent her school years near Hollywood, CA, graduating from Hollywood HS. She continued her education at UC Berkeley where she earned her Bachelors in Physical Education. She worked at Pacific Bell in San Francisco, where she met and married Jack Rice. They settled down in Denver, CO. to start their family. During this time, she met Dr. Bradley who was developing a new form of natural childbirth called "The Bradley Method". Peggi became one of the instructors, and each of her children was born by this natural method. Later, the family moved to Ramona, CA. in 1969; where she became very involved with the community including getting the Ramona Jr. Fair moved to its new location, and she continued to serve for the next 25 years, Kiwanis Club, Friends of the Library, Ramona Disaster Action Team for 10 years, and the Red Cross. She was the president for two years at both the Ramona Woman's Club and San Vicente Valley Club. She gave countless hours to all of the organizations; and she never knew a stranger as they all became her friends.
She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Rice and Briana Rice Gore, son Randy Rice, and grandchildren Alissa Gore, Cole Gore, and Garrett Rice.

She is predeceased by her husband Jack Rice and daughter Cindy Rice.
Services will be held on Saturday, July, 31, 2010 at 3:30 P.M.
