Philip John Cauzza “Sonny,” of Santa Ysabel, CA and Quemado, New Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at 1:30 a.m. in Julian, CA from complications of lymphoma cancer. Philip was born on February 4, 1937 in San Diego, CA to Lillian and Albino Cauzza. His lifelong career was as a cattleman and rancher for the Santa Ysabel, Mesa Chiquita and Slash Lightening Ranches. Philip is survived by his four children, Adam, Victor “Bud”, and John Cauzza and Lucinda Caetana, thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Cauzza, brothers Richard “Dickie” and Albert “Tino” Cauzza; and parents Lillian, Albino, and Victor Cauzza. Services will be held at the Mesa Chiquita Ranch, 24225 Mesa Grande Rd., on Sunday, August 8. 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Adam’s cell 760-390-0239 – side dishes and desserts welcome.
