Phyllis Rose Murphy, 86, of Warner Springs, California passed away on November 20, 2010. Phyllis was born on Staten Island November 6, 1924 to Peter and Mary Ferone. She graduated from Port Richmond High School and in 1944 she married Thomas P Murphy. They lived in New York where Thomas was with the New York City Police Department. The moved to California in 1965.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved Thomas after 52 years of marriage, and their son Robert. She is survived by son Tom (Mary) Murphy of Voluntown, CT, her brother Robert Ferone of Staten Island and her sister Dolores Cironella of New Jersey. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A visitation will be held at the Bonham Bros & Stewart Mortuary Chapel in Ramona, CA on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 3pm to 6pm. On Tuesday, November 30th, the Rosary will be recited at the Mission Santa Ysabel Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. and burial following at the Nuevo Memory Gardens in Ramona, California.
