It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Becky Marodi, who tragically lost her life on February 17, 2025. Becky was a beloved daughter, friend, and dedicated public servant whose warmth, courage, and kindness touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Becky grew up in Riverside, where she was raised by her loving mother, Lorena Marodi, and her late father, George Marodi. From an early age, Becky displayed a deep compassion for animals and a strong sense of duty to serve her community. Her love for animals was evident in the way she cared for every creature she encountered, always offering a gentle hand and a caring heart.
At the age of 17, Becky answered a different kind of calling—the fire service. With unwavering dedication and bravery, she embarked on a career that was more than just a job; it was her passion. Becky’s commitment to protecting others and her fearless spirit made her a respected and admired member of the firefighting community. She faced every challenge with strength and grace, earning the admiration of her colleagues and the gratitude of those she served.
Becky will be remembered for her infectious smile, her kind heart, and the way she always put others before herself. Her love for her family and friends was boundless, and her impact on those around her will never be forgotten.
On February 17, 2025, Becky went to be with her dad, George Marodi, whose love and guidance shaped the remarkable person she became. She is survived by her loving mother, Lorena Marodi, along with countless friends, colleagues, and loved ones who will cherish her memory forever.
A celebration of Becky’s life will be held Tuesday, 25 March 2025. Those wishing to attend should contact beckmarodicelebration@gmail.com for further information. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the San Diego County Firefighter Benevolent Fund, Local 2881, in honor of Becky’s dedication to the fire service and her firefighting family.
Becky’s courage, kindness, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace, knowing she made the world a better place.
