Richard Allen Creighton

Richard A. Creighton, age 77, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed peacefully at home in Ramona, California March 2, 2026.
Richard was born in Akron, Ohio to Richard D. and Irene (Crispin) Creighton. He proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving from 1968-1972. Moving to San Diego, he first worked at Harloff Chevrolet followed by 35 yrs with the City of San Diego as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, all the while making friendships that would last a lifetime.
In 1980, he married the love of his life Jaclyn Swink and together they raised 2 children, moving to Ramona in 1990. He was energetic with an infectious laugh and sense of humor. His strength, faith and humor enabled him to bravely battle ALS. He deeply loved his family, friends, fishing, off-roading, RV travels, thunderstorms and Coors light.
He is survived by his wife, son Nathan (Angie), grandson Andy, daughter Cristina, and brother Ron Creighton, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held Friday, April 17, 2026 at Neuvo Memory Gardens Cemetery, 532 Ash St., Ramona at 12:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at the home. Memorials may be
made to ALS Association. Family requests that guests please wear casual but respectful attire (not black).
