Ron Angel, a heavy equipment operator and long term resident of Ramona, CA passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday April 21st, 2025.
Ron is preceded in death by his son, Stephen. He is survived by his wife Trudy, his two living children: Andrea (Rick) and Greg (Michelle); his five grandchildren: Brandy, Tanya (Camron), Miranda (Carlos), Tanner (Gina), Farah (Josh); his seven great-grandchildren (and two more on the way). Ron isn’t just survived by family, he leaves behind countless friends, business associates, employees, and neighbors.
Ron was born on February 20th, 1943 to Milton and Dorothy Angel. Ron spent the majority of his youth in the backcountry. He graduated from Julian High School in 1961 where he went on to become a dozer operator and built his business of over 60 years, Ron Angel Grading. On February 22nd, 1964 Ron married the love of his life Trudy. They went on to grow their family, welcoming three beautiful children who were his greatest pride and joy.
Ron was a humble and passionate dozer operator. The true definition of “if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” He was very spirited in his meticulousness for his work, his opinions, and being sure his family was taken care of. Ron loved watching the accomplishments of his grandchildren and the growth of their subsequent families and great grandchildren. Ron left an imprint not just upon our hearts, but this town, and will be remembered with not only a tear but a smile as well. Our Angel hung up his hat and boots for the last time.
The family would like to extend an invite to Ron’s Celebration of Life to be held on 5/18/2025 at 1:00PM at Manzanita Hollow- 17588 Oak Hollow Rd. Ramona, CA 92065.
