Vanlear Lindbergh Reeber Jr.

Vanlear Lindbergh Reeder, Jr. passed away on May 11, 2026, leaving behind family, friends, and a brotherhood community who loved and respected him deeply. Born on October 3, 1957, in Annapolis to Violet and Van Reeder, Van lived a life defined by loyalty, hard work, and dedication to those around him.

Van graduated from Herbert Hoover High School and built a respected career as a fleet mechanic. He was a proud Teamster with International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 463 and worked for Oroweat, where he was known for his reliability, mechanical skill, and strong work ethic.

A devoted Mason, Van was a life member of Santa Maria Masonic Lodge No. 580 and was also a member of the Scottish Rite and Al Bahr Shriners. The friendships and fellowship he shared through these organizations were an important part of his life.

Van is survived by his sister, Vicki Reeder Ruch and her husband, Donald

Ruch and his beloved nieces and nephew: Victorie Darnley and her husband, Michael Darnley, and their children Dylan and Revel; Libertie Collins and her husband, Chris Collins, and their children Cameron and Cora; Anessa Peterson and her husband, Brian Peterson, and their children Josh, Grace, Carter, and Natalie; and Peter San Nicolas and his wife, Shayna San Nicolas, and their children Mikaela, Blake, and Farrah.

He now joins his parents, Violet and Van Reeder, and his sister, Valeri, in Heaven.

Van will be remembered as a beloved brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend whose humor, loyalty, and steady presence touched the lives of many. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Graveside service will be held on May 22, 2026 at Nuevo Memory Gardens Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
