William Doelman September 1, 1924 – December 18, 2010 William Doelman was born on September 1, 1924 in Maasland, Holland. He was the fourth of eleven children and grew up on a dairy farm. In 1947 he traveled to America to work on various dairies for one year. He returned to Holland to marry Krynie van Ommering on July 15, 1948. They returned to America in October of 1948 to begin their new life together. After working for some dairies in Southern California, William and Krynie ran a small cash and carry in Mission Valley. In 1956 they moved to Ramona, California to operate a dairy there. They lived in Ramona until 2007 when they moved to Sundance Mobile Home Park in Escondido. William passed away after a brief illness on December 18, 2010. he was 86 years old. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Krynie. William and Krynie were blessed with six children: Margaret, Beatrix, Nellie, Pete, Bill and Kathy. They were doubly blessed with 18 grandchildren. Daughter Nellie passed away in 1985. William will be laid to rest at Nuevo Memory Gardens, Ramona. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00pm, December 23, at the Escondido United reformed Church, 1864 N. Broadway in Escondido where William and Krynie had worshiped for many years. In lieu of flowers William requested that a donation be made to Elizabeth Hospice or a charity of choice. Bonham Bros. & Stewart Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family.
