The FTC Funeral Rule requires funeral establishments to itemize the prices for certain goods and services so consumers may choose only those elements of a funeral that they want. The following fourteen specified items of our goods and services must be listed on the firm’s General Price List, together with the price for each item.
OUR GENERAL PRICE LIST IS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.
1. Forwarding of remains to another funeral home.
2. Receiving of remains from another funeral home.
3. Direct cremation (see below).
4. Immediate burial.
5. Basic services of funeral director and staff, and overhead.
6. Transfer of remains to funeral home.
8. Other preparation of body.
9. Use of facilities and staff for viewing.
10. Use of facilities and staff for funeral ceremony.
11. Use of facilities and staff for memorial service.
12. Use of equipment and staff for graveside service.
14. Individual casket prices and the range of casket prices appear on the Casket Price List.
Direct Cremation $1,275
This fee includes all transportation (no additional mileage charge if within San Diego County), cremation (including the minimum alternative container required for cremation), plastic urn, and services of funeral home staff. We will obtain your certified death certificates for you (County charges $21/certified certificate). We have a wide range of cremation urns (starting at $85) and alternative containers, if you wish to upgrade from the minimum selections included. We will make any arrangements with third parties on your behalf. That includes private/public cemeteries and sea or air scatter (additional charges from third parties may apply). We will also make arrangements for our veterans with the National Cemeteries. This includes ordering military honors, when requested, and providing the US flag for presentation.
Traditional Burial $3,295 (plus casket)
This fee includes the transport of your loved one from the place of passing (no additional mileage charge if within San Diego County), embalming, dressing/casketing, use of funeral coach (hearse), and burial at any location (no additional mileage charge if within San Diego County). We have a wide selection of caskets (starting at $795) and a varied selection of register books, memorial stationary (folders, prayer cards, bookmarks) available for order. Holiday, weekend services, viewing the evening before funeral service, and an added attendant with utility vehicle for flower transportation, can all be provided with possible additional fees. As with any of our services, we will obtain your certified death certificates for you (County charges at $21/copy apply).
